Cayley Scates

BFA, B.Ed, Associate batd

Cayley was a student at the Lindsay Dance Studio from the time she was 6 until she graduated at the age of 18. During this time Cayley became a B.A.T.D. qualified highland dance teacher. Cayley then went off to York University where she graduated with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Dance and a Bachelor of Education for the Intermediate/Senior division with qualifications in Dance and Math. At York University Cayley studied ballet, modern, African, and hip-hop as well as many other forms of dance. Cayley also studied the kinesiology of dance including care and prevention of dance injuries. During the last two years of her dance degree, Cayley was a member of the York Dance Ensemble, a pre-professional dance company which provided her with additional training and many performance opportunities. In the summer of 2017, Cayley performed as a member of the Tattoo Dance Company in the Royal Edinburgh Military Tattoo in Scotland.

Cayley is now a high school teacher for Trillium Lakelands District School Board and
she is thrilled to be back living and working in our community. Cayley really enjoys sharing her love for dance with students and she is happy to be working with the staff and students at the Lindsay Dance Studio.
